About Kamado Joe

Kamado Joe are a US brand of ceramic grills founded by two friends and barbecue fanatics, Bobby Brennan and Kerry Coker, in 2009.

Being engineers, they were frustrated by some of the tools and equipment that they were using to grill outdoors, and were convinced there was a better way, better quality, smarter features and innovative accessories. This ethos continues today as they and their team continue to lead the way in 'Kamado-land' with new hinges and cooking surfaces.

First came 'Divide and Conquer', their patented Flexible Cooking System which allows multi-level cooking at different temperatures, on different surfaces at the same time. This enables you to cook a complete meal using this grill only.

And you get all this included in the Classic and Big Joe, the system is not an optional extra, just add extra cooking surfaces if you wish at any time.

Kamado cooking is an ancient grilling technique that originated in Asia, using a thick-walled ceramic dome that gives rich, smoky flavour to meats, fish and vegetables.
